JOHN R. BRECKENRIDGE – Martha’s Vineyard Photographer
The photography of John Breckenridge captures the silent beauty of Martha’s Vineyard. Unpredictable and spontaneous, even the most ordinary scenes produce powerful images. The visual impact of his photographs is most dramatically captured in the magic moments of a Vineyard sunrise or morning fog.
Silver Gelatin Black and White prints are produced by hand in the darkroom on papers containing light-sensitive halide particles. The image from the negative is projected onto the paper, exposing the silver particles to varying degrees of light. 11 x 14 images have been printed on resin coated papers which provide excellent detail and depth across the entire spectrum of values.
Fiber based prints are Museum Quality. They are printed on double-weight paper and are finished with a selenium bath to achieve archival permanence. These Limited Edition Archival Photographs will resist oxidizing gasses and other potential contaminants in the atmosphere.
John’s photos are the best-sellers of our black and white photography. All black and white photos are Martha’s Vineyard images, available in various sizes. All matted photos can be ordered to be framed.
