Ken Searle
Ken Searle received his art training at the National Art School in Washington, DC. He also attended Boston University and enrolled in the Famous Artists School. Early in his career, he received tutoring under various professional artists, so his education was quite well rounded.
Ken is a tenth-generation Island-born native of Martha’s Vineyard. His first Island ancestors arrived on the Vineyard in 1670. His roots go back to the Mayflower, with four ancestors arriving on the Plymouth shore in 1620. His heritage is strongly felt in his paintings which depict the New England countryside and seashore where he has lived and worked his entire life.
