Art Photography in Black and White
Peter Dreyer has been a professional photographer for 35 years. He specializes in large-format black-and-white photography and produces his prints and special effects, such as the Reverse-Reflex and the Photogram/Photograph series, in a traditional darkroom, i. e., without the aid of Photoshop. All prints are issued in editions of 50 and are signed on the back. They are also available in smaller and larger sizes.

Photography
Penny has family ties and is a life long visitor to Martha’s Vineyard. In her day job, she is a Surgical Assistant at a trauma hospital in Syracuse, NY. Her job leaves her plenty of time to fine tune her skills as a portrait painter and photographer. Even with travels in Spain and South Africa, Martha’s Vineyard is still her favorite vacation spot.

Marston Clough

Marston’s works include etchings, linocuts, woodcuts and lithographs. Each print is an original, done by hand, and the artist prints very limited editions, numbering less than ten, all with strong Vineyard themes- lobstermen and fishermen at work and boats at rest. The artist studied drawing at the Massachusetts College of Art and etching and printmaking at the Worcester Art Museum.

Chilmark - Menemsha

CHILMARK is a town of rolling hills and unmatched coastline. The stone fences of the sheep farms still ribbon the hills. The center of Chilmark boasts a lovely church. All roads from the center at Beetlebung corner lead to points of beauty. The Menemsha Crossroad joins North Road and takes one to the fishing village once known as MENEMSHA Creek. Here draggers still come in with their nets and the lobstermen land their catches.

Aquinnah-Gayhead Lighthouse

AQUINNAH - Many year-round residents are descendants of the Wampanoag Indians who showed the colonial settlers how to kill whales, plant corn, and find clay for the early brickyards. Much later, these Aquinnah Indians were in great demand as boatsteerers in the whaling fleets.
The brilliant colors of the mile-long expanse of the Aquinnah Cliffs astonished early explorers and have continued to be a source of interest to scientists and visitors alike. One of the first revolving Lighthouses was erected atop the Cliffs in 1799.

Edgartown

EDGARTOWN
One of New England’s most elegant communities, Edgartown was the Island’s first colonial settlement and it has been the county seat since 1642. The stately white Greek Revival houses built by the whaling captains have been carefully maintained.

Oak Bluffs and East Chop Lighthouse

OAK BLUFFS
In 1835 Wesleyan Grove, as the Oak Bluffs Campground was called, served as the site for annual summer camp meetings when Methodist church groups found the groves and pastures of Martha’s Vineyard particularly well suited to all-day gospel sessions. Within 40 years of the first camp meeting here, there were crowds of 30,000 attending the Grand Illumination that marked the end of the summer season with a glorious show of Japanese lanterns and fireworks.

Vineyard Haven and West Chop Lighthouse

VINEYARD HAVEN
When ships were powered by wind and canvas, Vineyard Haven was one of New England’s busiest ports because of its strategic location on the sailing routes. Most of the coast wise shipping traveled through Vineyard Sound - 13,814 vessels were counted in 1845.
A beautiful Harbor, excellent shops and fine restaurants are only a few attractions so special to visitors and residents alike.
