GicLees

The majority of Jodie’s art is done on the printing press creating one-of-a-kind monotypes using both water-based and oil mediums. Her style varies and ranges from representational images to abstract design. Vivid colors and authentic cultural patterns infuse her work. Jodie also works in oils, watercolors, and collage. Many of the paints she uses are ground from semiprecious stones such as Lapis, Turquoise, Tiger’s Eye, Hematite, and Jade which impart a vibrant and lustrous luminosity.

Giclees are printed in a limited edition of 50 or 100, numbered and signed by the artist.

Flora and Fauna

By definition, flora is a word of Latin origin referring to Flora, the goddess of flowers.  Flora is the root of the word floral, which means pertaining to flowers. Fauna can refer to the animal life or classification of animals of a certain region, time period, or environment. Fauna is also of Latin origin. In Roman Mythology Fauna was the sister of Faunus, a good spirit of the forest and plains.
